QUETTA: Babar Yousafzai, the Advisor for Home Affairs to the Government of Balochistan, announced that the provincial administration has established a fact-finding inquiry committee to investigate the deaths of Asma Jatak’s father and other individuals.
The Home Department of Balochistan formally issued a notification regarding the probe, appointing the Commissioner of the Kalat Division as the chairman of the committee.
The committee includes the Deputy Commissioner of Hub and the Deputy Commissioner of Awaran as members, while the Superintendent of Police for Hub has been designated as the member secretary.
Additionally, representatives from intelligence agencies and the Special Branch of the Police are included in the panel to thoroughly examine all facts, circumstances, and underlying motives of the incident.
The assigned body is authorized to identify any negligence or lapses, determine responsibility based on the law and available evidence, and access relevant records and documentation as needed.
The committee is required to submit a comprehensive report to the Government of Balochistan within fifteen days, ensuring a transparent and impartial investigation into all aspects of the event.
