SUJAWAL: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced a new oil and gas discovery in the Shah Bandar block located in the Sujawal district of Sindh.
PPL informed the stock exchange through a letter that production has officially commenced from the Rahi X-1 well in the Shah Bandar block.
According to PPL, the well yields daily production of 5 million standard cubic feet of gas and 12 barrels of oil.
This marks PPL’s fourth oil and gas discovery within the Shah Bandar block.
The Rahi X-1 well is jointly owned by PPL, Mari Energies, Sindh Energy Company, and GHPL, and was successfully drilled using entirely local expertise without any foreign assistance.
