GEORGETOWN: Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan claimed his second hat-trick in T20 cricket as Antigua and Barbuda Falcons crushed Guyana Amazon Warriors by nine wickets in the first qualifier of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The victory sent the Falcons into the tournament final after they bowled out the league leaders for just 76.
Shadab finished with 4-16, while fellow Pakistan spinner Sufyan Moqim returned 4-13 as the Falcons’ bowling attack dismantled the Amazon Warriors.
Shadab completed his hat-trick with the final three balls of the ninth over. He dismissed Shimron Hetmyer, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Quinton Sampson in consecutive deliveries.
The Amazon Warriors reached 40-1 after the powerplay but then collapsed dramatically. They lost eight wickets for just nine runs in 3.1 overs, falling from 40-1 to 49-9.
The collapse began in the eighth over when Moqim struck twice. Glenn Phillips fell to a catch at midwicket while attempting to attack a googly, while Mohammad Haris was caught behind for one while trying to cut the spinner.
The Falcons then chased down the modest target in only 5.2 overs. Rahkeem Cornwall led the charge with a blistering 16-ball 49.
Shadab’s hat-trick also made him the third bowler to achieve the feat in CPL history.

It was his second hat-trick in T20 cricket. Only former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami, with three T20 hat-tricks, has taken more.
Shadab has also taken 67 T20 wickets in 2026, the most by any bowler this year.
