Lawyer and political analyst Muneeb Farooq has made a significant claim regarding the political future of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, saying that recent legal developments indicate his political trajectory has effectively been determined.
Farooq stated that while only Allah has knowledge of the unseen and no one can predict the future with certainty, the current legal and political circumstances point in a clear direction.
In this regard, his assessment is based on his understanding as a student of law as well as information obtained through what he described as credible sources. He claimed that Imran Khan’s political future has, in practical terms, already been “sealed.”
He added that although the former prime minister’s political path had been moving in that direction for some time, the recent Supreme Court ruling has effectively placed the final legal stamp on that outcome.
Moreover, Farooq further argued that under the existing legal framework and strategy, the pending cases involving the PTI founder are expected to move from the Islamabad High Court to the Constitutional Court. He maintained that the anticipated verdict from the Constitutional Court is likely to align with expectations formed following the Supreme Court’s recent decision.
He implied that the eventual outcome of these proceedings could have far-reaching consequences for Imran Khan’s political future.
The statements were made during an analysis of Pakistan’s evolving political landscape and have since attracted attention on social media, where a video clip of Farooq’s comments has been widely circulated.
