QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove has reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to dialogue, stating that it has never refused negotiations and believes lasting solutions to political and social issues can only be achieved through democratic and parliamentary processes.
Speaking to delegations of political and tribal leaders, Langove emphasized that differences of opinion on matters of national interest should be viewed as part of a healthy political process rather than as acts against the state.
The home minister stressed that Parliament remains the most effective platform for political parties to present their views, concerns, and demands within the framework of the Constitution. Political disagreement, he said, is a defining feature of democracy and contributes to better policymaking and sustainable solutions to public issues.
Langove further emphasized that whenever the country faces major challenges or issues concerning the national interest, all political forces should unite on a common platform. He said national unity and collective effort are essential to overcoming the country’s challenges and paving the way for peace, stability, and economic progress.
Noting that Parliament serves as the centre of public representation, legislation, and policymaking, where the country’s future direction is determined, Langove urged all political and religious parties to strengthen confidence in the parliamentary system and play a constructive role in advancing democratic values.
Calling for greater political maturity, the minister said the need of the hour is to replace confrontation with dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect in order to build a stronger, more stable, and united Pakistan.
