QUETTA: Four more terrorists have been killed in the ongoing ‘Operation Shaban’ in Balochistan, bringing the total number of eliminated militants to 79.
According to private TV channel reports citing security sources, a joint operation by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police successfully targeted terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij who were hiding in difficult, mountainous terrains.
A significant number of militants are also reported to be injured. Sources revealed that 26 terrorists were killed on July 6 and 7, followed by another 43 in the subsequent days, pushing the overall death toll of the operation to 79.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep satisfaction over the operational successes and paid rich tributes to the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Additionally, the Chief Minister of Balochistan confirmed that police successfully foiled an attack on the Khuzdar Police Station today, neutralizing six to seven terrorists in the process.
