KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) successfully rescued all 20 people aboard a sinking fishing boat in their second successful maritime rescue operation within 24 hours.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the fishing boat Al Hamdan Yaqoob sank near the coast of Ormara with 20 Pakistani crew members on board.
A Pakistan Navy Sea King helicopter and a PMSA Defender vessel were deployed for the rescue operation after the incident occurred approximately 32 nautical miles south of Ormara.
All 20 individuals were rescued alive and are receiving initial medical treatment.
