TEHRAN: The Iranian military has issued a stark warning, pledging to relentlessly pursue those responsible for the assassination of the country’s former Supreme Leader. Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami made the declaration, asserting that the perpetrators will not be able to escape their fate.
General Hatami emphasized that the legacy of the martyred leader has charted a definitive course for the nation. He stated that the former Supreme Leader established a path defined by “honor, freedom, and national dignity”—a path the Iranian Armed Forces are determined to follow. The military leadership affirmed its commitment to this direction, vowing to proceed with “full determination and resolve.”
Reaffirming the military’s loyalty, General Hatami confirmed that the Armed Forces will continue to execute their duties without hesitation. He stressed their obedience to the current leadership, stating they will operate under the guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
