"Will Iran Trust the US Again? President Pezeshkian Sets a Clear Condition for Future Cooperation"

TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that any future understanding between Iran and the United States depends on mutual commitment, stressing that reconciliation is a two-way process and both sides must fulfill their obligations.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, President Pezeshkian said Iran’s position remains firm in the face of what he described as unreasonable boasting and baseless threats.

He focused on that Tehran is prepared to honor its commitments if the United States also acts in accordance with the terms of any memorandum of understanding.

“Reconciliation is a bilateral matter. If the United States implements the memorandum of understanding, we will also fulfill our responsibilities,” the Iranian president stated.

President Pezeshkian underlined that Iran’s approach is guided by reason, wisdom and respect for human dignity.

He said decisions should be made on the basis of rational thinking and the protection of human values, while practical actions must reflect determination and courage.

He further noted that Iran believes diplomacy should be based on mutual respect rather than pressure or intimidation. According to the president, meaningful progress can only be achieved when both parties demonstrate a genuine commitment to implementing agreed measures.

The statements come at a time when regional and international attention remains focused on the future of relations between Tehran and Washington.
