London: Renowned English all-rounder and Test captain, Ben Stokes, has announced his retirement from international cricket, according to British media.
Over a stellar 15-year career, Stokes represented England in 122 Tests, 114 ODIs, and 43 T20Is.
He played a pivotal role in England’s historic triumphs, helping the team win both the 2019 ODI World Cup and the 2022 T20 World Cup with unforgettable performances in both tournaments.
Originally moving to England from his birthplace of New Zealand, Stokes will officially bid farewell to international cricket following the conclusion of England’s ongoing final Test match against New Zealand.
