SHAKARGARH: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has issued a stern warning, declaring that there will be “no concession” for individuals and elements engaged in spreading misleading propaganda against Pakistan.
Addressing a gathering in Shakargarh, the minister strongly condemned what he described as a malicious campaign targeting the country’s interests, stating that those who oppose Pakistan do not deserve any leniency.
“Some elements are spreading more poisonous propaganda against Pakistan than India,” Iqbal said, without naming specific groups or individuals. He labeled these actors as “rejected elements” who are running a misleading campaign against the army and the state.
“The whole world is praising Pakistan’s achievements today,” Iqbal asserted. “Pakistan has won in the battle of truth and the battle of diplomacy.”
The minister emphasized that for the country to achieve a strong economy, it must be protected from chaos, corruption, and uncertainty. He called for national unity and resilience against internal and external threats to Pakistan’s stability.
Turning to economic matters, Iqbal highlighted that on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, special incentives for exports have been included in the federal budget to boost economic activity and trade.
Looking ahead to upcoming polls, the minister expressed confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would secure a “resounding victory” in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, signaling strong electoral prospects for the ruling party.
The minister’s remarks come amid heightened political rhetoric as the government faces criticism from opposition parties over various policy matters.
