Iran Will Always Remember Pakistan’s Sincere Efforts for Peace, Envoy

ISLAMABAD: Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam praised Islamabad’s diplomatic efforts in helping secure a ceasefire and peace agreement between Iran and the United States during a meeting with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Monday.

The Iran’ envoy met Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House, where the two sides discussed the Iran-US peace agreement, Pakistan-Iran relations, and the broader regional situation.

Ayaz Sadiq congratulated the Iranian leadership and people on the agreement and welcomed the breakthrough.

He described the accord as a positive step toward promoting peace, stability, and mutual trust in the region. He said the agreement could contribute significantly to regional and global security.

The Iranian envoy praised the efforts of Pakistan’s government, parliament, and diplomatic leadership in helping facilitate the ceasefire and peace process.

He also commended Pakistan’s political and military leadership for their role in advancing negotiations and helping create conditions for a diplomatic settlement.

Moghadam said Iran’s government and people would always remember Pakistan’s sincere contribution to achieving the ceasefire and peace agreement.

He congratulated Pakistan on what he described as a successful diplomatic effort and thanked the country’s political, parliamentary, diplomatic, civil, and military leadership for supporting peace initiatives.

The two sides also reviewed bilateral relations, issues of mutual interest, parliamentary cooperation, and developments across the region.

Following the meeting, the Iranian ambassador and his delegation attended a session of Pakistan’s National Assembly as guests.
