ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, during which both leaders discussed ongoing peace efforts and bilateral relations.
In this regard, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to Qatar for its support of Pakistan’s efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
He stated that a peace agreement between the relevant parties is expected to be finalized soon and will be ready for signing in the near future.
The Prime Minister focused on Pakistan’s commitment to constructive diplomacy and peaceful engagement, noting that sustained dialogue remains essential for achieving long-term regional stability.
He also appreciated Qatar’s continued cooperation and support for initiatives designed to encourage understanding and peaceful resolution of disputes.
In this sense, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani praised Pakistan’s special diplomatic and peace initiatives. He commended the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts in advancing diplomatic engagement and fostering an environment conducive to peace.
The Qatari Prime Minister acknowledged the significant role played by Pakistan’s leadership in effectively moving diplomatic efforts forward. He said Qatar takes pride in supporting Pakistan’s peace endeavors and expressed hope that these initiatives would contribute to lasting peace and stability across the region.
The discussion also focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Qatar. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his invitation to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to visit Pakistan.
Meanwhile, both sides have already reached an understanding regarding the proposed visit, which is expected to further enhance cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
