Trump Says US-Iran Deal Could Be Signed Within Days

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has said that a new agreement between the United States and Iran could be signed within days, potentially by the end of this week, at a location in Europe.

Speaking at the White House, Trump stated that preparations for the agreement were in their final phase and expressed confidence that the deal would be concluded soon. He noted that Iran was just as eager as the other parties to reach an agreement.

The president said he believed Iran’s Supreme Leader had approved the deal and that all stakeholders were working to ensure its successful completion.

Trump added that he would be unable to attend the signing ceremony personally, but Vice President JD Vance would represent the United States at the event.

According to Trump, once the agreement is finalized, Washington will immediately lift sanctions on Iranian ports. He also claimed that the move would contribute to a significant reduction in global oil prices.
