TEHRAN: China has expressed strong confidence in Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic role aimed at reducing tensions between Iran and the United States. Chinese officials have also voiced hope that these efforts will contribute to lasting peace and stability across the Middle East.
China’s Ambassador to Iran, Kang Peiwu, praised Pakistan for its constructive diplomatic engagement during a period of heightened regional uncertainty.
He stated that Pakistan has played a positive role in encouraging dialogue and supporting initiatives designed to reduce tensions in the region.
In this regard, the Chinese envoy made these remarks during an interview with Iranian media. He noted that Pakistan has actively facilitated communication among different parties.
Kang Peiwu emphasized that Pakistan’s efforts have been particularly valuable in promoting de-escalation and helping address concerns related to the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that China highly appreciates Islamabad’s commitment to peaceful diplomacy and regional cooperation.
Furthermore, the ambassador mentioned the growing importance of countries capable of building bridges between parties with differing positions. He stated that nations willing to encourage dialogue can make a meaningful contribution to international peace and security.
Pakistan has demonstrated its ability to act as a responsible and reliable mediator. Through recent diplomatic initiatives, the country has strengthened its reputation as a trusted partner in efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions.
