ISLAMABAD: The federal capital administration has intensified the implementation of energy conservation measures by ensuring the closure of markets and commercial centers according to officially prescribed timings.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader campaign aimed at promoting energy efficiency and reducing electricity consumption across the country.
In this regard, monitoring teams have been deployed in various areas of Islamabad to ensure strict compliance with government directives.
As part of the ongoing measures, business operating hours have been restricted, and commercial establishments are required to close within the designated timeframe.
The administration has also issued directives for food outlets and restaurants to conclude their operations by 10:00 p.m. Authorities warned that legal action may be taken against businesses found violating the prescribed closure timings.
The energy conservation drive comes at a time when the government is focusing on economic management and resource optimization. Meanwhile, economic planning for the upcoming fiscal year continues to advance.
They stressed that effective management of national resources remains a key priority and called upon traders, business owners, and commercial stakeholders to cooperate with the administration in achieving the objectives of the initiative.
The administration expressed confidence that collective efforts by government institutions and the business community would contribute to greater energy efficiency and support the country’s long-term economic and environmental goals.
