Roof Collapse Kills Six Children in Shangla

SHANGLA: Six children were killed after the roof of a mud house collapsed in Pakistan’s northwestern Shangla district, rescue officials said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred overnight in Rahimabad Basi, a remote area of Shangla in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Rescue teams recovered the victims from beneath the rubble after the roof of the house gave way.

Officials said the deceased included four girls and two boys. Their ages ranged from four to 15 years.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse. No other casualties were immediately reported.
