ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will launch the second phase of its Hajj operation for the return of pilgrims on May 31, with multiple flights scheduled to bring pilgrims back from Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said the first Hajj flight will depart from Jeddah on the night of May 31 and arrive in Sialkot. The flight will carry 391 pilgrims.
Officials said several flights are scheduled on the first day of the operation for different cities across Pakistan.
On June 1, 22 flights will bring 5,237 pilgrims back to the country.
Authorities said Islamabad will receive five flights on the day. Karachi and Lahore will each receive four flights. Multan and Sialkot will each receive three flights. Faisalabad will receive two flights, while Quetta will receive one flight.
The ministry said a total of 471 flights will operate during the Hajj return phase. These flights will bring back around 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims.
Most flights will land in different cities on June 1, according to Pakistan Standard Time schedules.
Officials said return flights from Madinah will begin on June 3.
They added that the final phase of the Hajj operation will conclude on June 30 in Lahore.
Authorities said they have finalized all arrangements to ensure a smooth return process for pilgrims.
