QUETTA: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, visited Quetta Garrison on Saturday and interacted with commanders and commanding officers of field formations, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The visit focused on the prevailing security environment in Balochistan, operational preparedness and measures being undertaken to maintain peace and stability across the province.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation and operational preparedness of formations deployed in Balochistan.
The briefing also covered ongoing measures aimed at maintaining a stable security environment in the province. Institutional coordination and support for socio-economic development were also reviewed during the interaction.
The Army chief appreciated the professionalism, operational readiness and commitment demonstrated by officers and troops performing their duties in the province.
Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the importance of continued coordination between Law Enforcement Agencies and other state institutions to consolidate peace in Balochistan.
In this regard, he focused on that effective institutional coordination would help maintain an environment conducive to sustained economic activity and development.
The emphasis comes as security and stability remain important factors in supporting development initiatives and expanding economic opportunities across the province.
The Field Marshal reaffirmed that the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Balochistan remain central to the state’s efforts.
He underlined that a stable and secure environment would continue to facilitate development projects, economic opportunities and improved prospects for the people of the province.
Tribute to Martyrs
During the visit, the Army chief also paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and acknowledged the steadfast dedication of officers and troops serving in the province.
He appreciated their continued efforts in carrying out their responsibilities under challenging security conditions.

Upon arrival at Quetta, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
