Governor Balochistan-Led Delegation Arrives in China for Diamond Jubilee of Pakistan-China Ties

BEIJING: The Governor of Balochistan, along with a joint delegation of political leaders from across Pakistan, arrived in Beijing on Friday to attend the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan-China friendship.

The visit was described as a major step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation and building a shared future between the two countries.

The delegation includes representatives from multiple political parties. It was presented as a symbol of national unity, vision, and commitment to development, according to a news release.

During the visit, members of the delegation will review China’s progress in solar energy, explore cultural heritage sites, and visit “Silicon Street,” known for its mix of tradition and technological innovation. China’s cultural heritage and modernization were highlighted as key pillars of its civilization.

The delegation is also scheduled to meet senior officials of the Communist Party of China. Discussions will be held on the evolving global political and economic situation, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and future strategic cooperation.

The Governor of Balochistan said the Diamond Jubilee marks an important milestone in Pakistan-China relations. He said CPEC remains at the core of the partnership.

Gwadar was described as the crown jewel of CPEC. It was stated that Balochistan could emerge as a global hub for trade, investment, and innovation after completion of key projects.

He also expressed commitment to improving public sector universities in Balochistan and expanding scholarship opportunities for youth.

The 75-year partnership between Pakistan and China was described as an unbreakable bond and a “bright force” guiding both nations toward a shared future.

The week-long visit includes several political leaders, including PPP Senator Saleem Mandviwala, JUI-F Senator Atta-ul-Haq, former Balochistan chief minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, JUI-F Senator Kamran Murtaza, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Langau, Provincial Minister Muhammad Khan Lehri, Senator Saeed Hassan Mandokhail, former caretaker chief minister Alauddin Marri, Parliamentary Secretary Barkat Ali Rind, former MNA Syed Mehmood Shah, Mir Azizullah Khan, Muhammad Umeed, JUI-F leader Nasir Mehmood, and CM’s focal person Baizid Khan Kasi.
