Pakistan’s Efforts for Regional Peace Continue: Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan says its efforts for peace in the region are continuing, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi.

During the weekly press briefing, the spokesperson said Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held important meetings with Iranian leadership during two visits to Iran. Detailed discussions were held on Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and security matters.

Andrabi said Pakistan condemns drone attacks on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He added that targeting nuclear facilities is a serious violation of international law. Pakistan expressed hope that such incidents would not be repeated.

According to the Foreign Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will begin a visit to China from tomorrow. The prime minister will meet Chinese President and the Chinese Premier during the visit. He will also attend a reception ceremony in Beijing. The spokesperson said China’s unwavering support for Pakistan continues.
