If attacked again, the army is always ready to pull the trigger, a large-scale response will be carried out: Iranian commander warns

TEHRAN: Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any possible military action by the United States, stating that any future attack would trigger an immediate, decisive and large-scale retaliation.

According to Iran’s state-affiliated Tasnim News Agency, the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Ali, issued a strong warning to the United States and its allies against making what he described as any new “strategic mistake or miscalculation” regarding Iran.

The senior military commander said Iran’s armed forces are now stronger and more prepared than in the past, adding that military units remain on high alert and ready to respond to any aggression.

He stressed that Iranian forces are fully capable of defending the country’s sovereignty and national security in the event of any hostile action.

In this regard, Major General Ali stated that Iranian military personnel are “ready to pull the trigger” if the country faces another attack. He focused on that any future confrontation would receive a response far more powerful than previous military clashes.

The statements come amid continuing regional tensions and heightened concerns over possible military escalation involving Iran, the United States and allied forces in the Middle East. Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that the country seeks regional stability but would respond firmly to any threat against its territory or interests.

The commander reasserted that Tehran does not intend to initiate conflict, but warned that any act of aggression would be met with swift and forceful retaliation.

He added that Iran’s defense preparedness has significantly improved in recent years, enabling the armed forces to respond effectively to evolving security challenges.
