PM Shehbaz to visit Quetta today, attend Apex Committee meeting

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to arrive in Quetta today on a one-day official visit aimed at reviewing key administrative and security matters in Balochistan.

The prevailing law and order situation, and ongoing development projects in the province. In this regard, the senior officials are expected to inform the Prime Minister about progress on various public welfare and infrastructure initiatives being carried out in different districts of Balochistan.

The high-level meeting is expected to focus on security arrangements, provincial stability, and measures for strengthening coordination among federal and provincial institutions.

In this sense, Field Marshal Asim Munir will also participate in the important meeting along with senior civil and military leadership. The participation of top officials indicates the significance of the discussions related to peace, security, and development in the province.

The Prime Minister will review the overall situation in Balochistan and discuss strategies aimed at improving governance, accelerating development activities, and ensuring long-term stability in the region.

Meanwhile, Federal ministers and other high-ranking government officials will accompany the Prime Minister during the visit. The delegation is expected to engage with provincial authorities and review ongoing projects of national importance.

So far, the visit is being viewed as an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the federal government and the provincial administration. It also mentions the government’s continued focus on maintaining peace, improving public services, and promoting development across Balochistan.
