THATTA: A tragic landslide at a coal mine near the Jhirk Meting railway station resulted in the deaths of four laborers and left five others injured.
According to rescue sources, the deceased have been identified as Ziaullah, Noor Muhammad, Irfanullah, and Sain Dad, all of whom reportedly belonged to the Pathan and Bhatti communities.
The five injured workers, identified as Muhammad Hussain, Najibullah, Malikzada, Niamatullah, and Gul Hassan, were immediately transported to hospitals in Kotri and Hyderabad for medical treatment.
The accident occurred when a massive mound of earth collapsed while the laborers were working inside the mine.
Local residents and rescue teams worked together in a joint effort to complete the recovery and relief operations.
