ISLAMABAD: Following a downward trend in the global market, gold prices in Pakistan saw a notable decrease today.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the market reacted quickly to international shifts:
- 24-Karat Gold: Dropped by Rs. 1,100, bringing the price to Rs. 491,362 per tola.
- 10-Gram Gold: Decreased by Rs. 943, settling at Rs. 421,263.
- International Market: The price of gold per ounce fell by $11, reaching $4,690.
Interestingly, silver bucked the trend.
While gold became more affordable, the price of silver rose by Rs. 231, reaching Rs. 9,136 per tola.
