TEHRAN : Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baqai, issued a stark warning on Saturday, declaring that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared for any scenario and that any act of hostility will be met with severe punishment.
In a lengthy statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Baqai framed a potential war with the United States and Israel as a defining conflict for the modern era. He argued that the confrontation would determine the meaning of “good” and “evil” for the future.
“This war is between professional liars who fabricate justifications for atrocities and a dignified nation that defends its homeland and human dignity by relying only on its strength and determination,” Baqai wrote.
The spokesperson did not detail specific threats but emphasized that Iran’s military readiness is absolute. His comments come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic maneuvers.
Separately, Baqai announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is scheduled to travel to India to attend the forthcoming BRICS summit. No further details regarding the minister’s agenda or potential meetings were immediately released.
