PSL 11 Team of the Tournament Announced

The Team of the Tournament for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 has been announced, with Babar Azam, captain of Peshawar Zalmi, appointed as team captain due to his outstanding batting and leadership.

The squad includes three players each from Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kings Men, two each from Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, and one player each from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.

The selection was made by a five-member panel of commentators, while a separate emerging players team was also named.

PSL 11 matches were played from March 26 to May 3 in Lahore and Karachi, with a total of 44 matches.

Babar Azam, opening the innings, scored 588 runs to win the Hanif Mohammad Cap and finished as the tournament’s top scorer.

He equaled Fakhar Zaman’s 2022 record for most runs in a single season and also scored two centuries against Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United.

Other standout performers from Peshawar Zalmi include Kusal Mendis, who scored 550 runs and made 8 dismissals as wicketkeeper, and Sufiyan Muqeem, who took 22 wickets and was named Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler.

From Hyderabad Kings Men, Usman Khan, Hasan Khan, and emerging player Hunain Shah were selected.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman represented Lahore Qalandars with strong performances.

Shan Masood from Multan Sultans scored 367 runs, while Shadab Khan, captain of Islamabad United, earned his place with an impressive all-round performance alongside Richard Gleeson.

Hasan Nawaz from Quetta Gladiators was named as the 12th player after scoring 291 runs.

The team is being regarded as a strong combination of the best performers from PSL Season 11.
