Decision on whether Hajj will be allowed on visit visa or not

RIYADH: The Saudi Arabia government has announced that individuals holding visit visas will not be permitted to perform Hajj, confirming regulations aimed at ensuring better organization and safety during the annual pilgrimage.

In this regard,  as per the Saudi Ministry of Interior, anyone entering the Kingdom on any type of visit visa is not eligible to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage.

The Ministry has warned that violations will result in firm legal action, underlining the government’s commitment to maintaining order and discipline during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.

The Ministry urged all pilgrims to cooperate fully with security personnel and administrative authorities. This cooperation, it noted, is crucial for ensuring smooth operations and safeguarding the well-being of millions of worshippers who gather in the holy cities each year.

Saudi authorities mentioned that these measures are part of broader efforts to enhance the overall Hajj experience. The announcement comes as part of ongoing preparations for the upcoming Hajj season, during which the Kingdom implements comprehensive logistical and security plans. These include transportation management, accommodation arrangements, and health services designed to accommodate pilgrims from around the world.
