Pakistan, Iran Reaffirm Commitment to Stronger Ties

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Iranian Ambassador Reza Ali Moghaddam were met in the federal capital on Thursday.

Commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors has been reaffirmed by Pakistan and Iran, officials said.

Matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting.

Appreciation was expressed by the Iranian side for Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts were acknowledged, and it was stated that such initiatives are viewed positively by Iran.

The commitment to regional peace was reiterated by the Pakistani minister.

Further cooperation between the two countries was said to be encouraged in the coming period, officials added.
