Security Forces Kill Three Khawarij in Mohmand

PESHAWAR: Three militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mohmand district, security sources said.

The operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence reports targeting militant networks in the area.

Those killed were identified as Ziaullah, also known as Amir Mohmand, and commander Sadiq Masood. A third militant was also reported killed.

The group was described as being involved in attacks on civilians and efforts to spread fear and instability in the region.

It was stated that such elements attempt to justify violence through misinterpretation of religious teachings.

Ongoing intelligence-based operations have been conducted by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies to dismantle militant networks, officials said.

The latest operation was described as a demonstration of operational capability and resolve.

Authorities said efforts would continue to ensure the safety of civilians and counter militant threats in the region.
