KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi set a strong target of 222 runs for Islamabad United in the first Eliminator of the Pakistan Super League.
Batting first, Zalmi scored 221 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted overs.
Captain Babar Azam delivered a brilliant performance, scoring 103 runs off 58 balls, marking his second century of the tournament.
He also became the first batter in PSL history to score 500 or more runs in four separate seasons, previously achieving the milestone in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Kusal Mendis contributed 41 runs, while Mohammad Haris added 35 runs.
For Islamabad United, captain Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, and Jordan Cox claimed 2 wickets.
The winner of this Eliminator will advance directly to the final.
