QUETTA : Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has issued a strong warning to the government, stating that any action against madrassas anywhere in the country will be met with fierce resistance on every front.
In a sharp reaction to the Balochistan government’s approach regarding madrassa registration, Haideri said, “The rulers should be aware, otherwise they will be responsible for the consequences themselves.” He added that those who dream of closing madrassas or putting them under pressure should listen: “This will never come true.”
Haideri declared that religious madrassas are a red line for his party. “If anyone tries to cross this red line, he will have to face a strict and decisive response,” he said, vowing that JUI-F would stand “as a lead wall” and resist vigorously.
He further stated that past conspiracies against madrassas have all been foiled, and his party will not allow anyone to succeed in the future. Haideri accused the government and administration of deliberately using false statements, urging provincial and district authorities to refrain from pushing the state toward further instability. “Otherwise, the entire responsibility of the situation will fall on them,” he warned.
