PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman

JEDDAH ;  Prime Minister PM Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Qasr Al Islam in Jeddah on Thursday, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments, including the Iran-US talks, and ways to further strengthen bilateral ties.

 

Upon the PM Shehbaz arrival, the Saudi Crown Prince gave him a warm welcome, reflecting the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries.

 

During the meeting, PM Shehbaz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman exchanged views on the current situation in the region, with particular focus on peace and stability. The Iran-US talks were also among the key topics discussed. Both sides expressed their determination to further enhance cooperation across various sectors and solidify the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was also present during the high-level talks.

 

The Prime Minister arrived in Saudi Arabia a day earlier on an important official visit, leading a high-level delegation. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, upon his arrival in Jeddah, he was warmly received at the airport by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, and Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq.

 

The visit is seen as a significant step in reaffirming the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom, with both sides committed to deepening economic and political cooperation
