TEHRAN : Iranian state television reported on Thursday that the first round of talks between Iran and Pakistan was held in Tehran, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir leading the discussions.
According to the report, the two sides held detailed deliberations on key regional matters. Further discussions are expected as mediators continue to review messages exchanged between Iran and the United States.
The talks in the Iranian capital mark a significant development in Iran-Pakistan diplomatic engagement, with both countries seeking to enhance coordination on regional security and political issues. While Iranian state media did not disclose all details of the agenda, sources indicate that the discussions also touched upon the broader diplomatic process involving Washington.
