FM Dar offers condolences to Türkiye over school attack

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to Visit Saudi Arabia for Regional Talks

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, has expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with Türkiye following a horrific school shooting in the city of Kahramanmaraş that claimed multiple lives.

 

In a post on the social media platform X, Dar conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt condolences to the Turkish people and government. He described the attack on the educational institution as an unspeakable tragedy, particularly noting the loss of innocent children.

 

“Deeply saddened by the horrific attack on a school in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye. The loss of innocent lives, especially children, is an unspeakable tragedy,” Dar wrote.

 

The deputy prime minister further emphasized the unbreakable bond between Pakistan and Türkiye, stating: “We stand in solidarity with Türkiye — their children are our children, their pain is our pain.”

 

He extended deepest condolences to the bereaved families and offered prayers for the recovery of those injured in the attack.

 

Pakistan and Türkiye have historically maintained strong brotherly relations, with both nations frequently supporting each other in times of tragedy. The Pakistani leadership has consistently condemned attacks on civilians and educational institutions

worldwide.
