Iran sends 70-member negotiation teams

ISLAMABAD : The Iranian delegation that arrived in Islamabad for talks with the United States comprises approximately 70 people, including a large contingent of technical experts and media personnel, according to Iranian media reports.

The delegation is led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf. Alongside the main negotiators, the team includes members of 26 technical and special committees covering economic, security, and political issues. These panels are designed to provide real-time advice during the highly sensitive negotiations, Iranian media stated.

A 23-member media team from various outlets has also joined the delegation. The remaining members include protocol and coordination teams, translators, and a security detail.

The large-scale presence underscores the seriousness of the talks, which come as Iran demands a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of its frozen assets as preconditions for any deal with the US.
