KALAT: Security forces sources say on Monday that personnel of the CTD engaged two suspected Fitna al Hindustan terrorists in Kharri Nurgama, Kalat district on Sunday (March 30).
During the engagement, one militant was neutralised, while the other was injured and escaped, officials said.
Security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the scene, including one submachine gun, five magazines, 68 rounds, and a BLA emblem. Cash amounting to Rs 5,740 was also seized.
According to authorities, suspicious movement of two terrorists was observed near Sohind, heading toward Kharri Nurgama. The Counter-Terrorism Unit, under the command of the second-in-charge, moved promptly to intercept them.
A gunfight erupted at night around 10: 45pm north of Kharri village. One militant was neutralised, and another injured .The injured militant fled the area.
Officials confirmed that the operation was successfully concluded, and the recovered materials were taken for further investigation.
The clash underscores ongoing security operations in Balochistan against insurgent groups, including the FAH and affiliated networks.
