Pakistan Railways launches first Eid special train from Lahore

Pakistan Railways has launched its first Eid Special Train from Lahore to facilitate passengers traveling to their hometowns ahead of Eid celebrations.

The train departed from Lahore at 7:30 PM, marking the beginning of the special arrangements made by the railway authorities to accommodate the increased number of travelers during the festive season.

The first Eid Special Train is scheduled to reach Karachi Cantt Station at 3:45 PM on Tuesday.

The special service has been introduced to provide additional travel options for passengers who usually face difficulties in securing tickets due to the high demand during Eid holidays.

Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of four special trains on the occasion of Eid to ensure smooth travel for citizens across the country.

These special trains will run on different routes connecting major cities, enabling people to travel conveniently and safely to celebrate the festival with their families.

In this sense, the fourth Eid Special Train will depart from Karachi Cantt Station for Lahore on March 18.

The schedule has been planned to accommodate passengers traveling to various regions of Pakistan during the busy Eid travel period.

Meanwhile, the federal government has also announced that salaries for government employees will be released before Eid. The decision has been welcomed by public sector workers, as it will help them manage their expenses and preparations for the upcoming religious festival.

The Eid Special Train operation is part of the broader efforts to improve public transport services during peak travel periods.
