Drone attack from Iran kills US troops in Iraq

BAGHDAD: A drone attack was carried out at Baghdad International Airport, reportedly killing 10 American soldiers. An Iraqi resistance group launched drones and rockets targeting the Victoria Base near the airport.

According to RT, 10 U.S. troops were killed in the attack, though the claim has not yet been independently confirmed.

Al Jazeera reported that a fire broke out at Victoria Base after the drone strike, and early reports indicated that at least five people were injured.

The Iraqi resistance group had also released a video a day earlier showing a drone attack on the same base.

Meanwhile, a new wave of attacks linked to Iran has reportedly targeted Gulf countries.

Drone strikes were reported again at Dubai International Airport and Kuwait International Airport.

According to Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense, airport radar systems were damaged, but no casualties were reported and five drones were destroyed.

A drone attack also targeted an Italian military base in Kuwait, though no damage was reported.

Arab media also reported another attack in Baghdad, where the international airport and a U.S. diplomatic facility were targeted.

In Dubai, a drone strike caused a fire at the airport after hitting an oil tanker.

According to the Dubai Media Office, there were no casualties, but flight operations were temporarily suspended.

The UAE Ministry of Defence said it intercepted four ballistic missiles and six drones on Sunday.

Since February 28, authorities claim to have thwarted 298 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and about 1,600 drone attacks.
