ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted supply of petroleum products across the country while minimising the financial burden on the public.
Chairing a meeting of the Petroleum Products Price Monitoring Committee via video link, the Finance Minister stated that despite ongoing uncertainty in global markets, Pakistan’s petroleum supply remains stable. He attributed this stability to timely planning and effective coordination among relevant institutions.
During the session, officials provided a detailed briefing on several critical factors, including the impact of regional tensions, fluctuations in international oil prices, the country’s domestic reserves, import arrangements, and the overall supply chain situation.
The committee was informed that necessary steps are being taken to ensure the timely arrival of cargoes, maintain the production capacity of refineries, and secure an uninterrupted supply chain for the country.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Petroleum, the Minister of National Food Security, the Minister of State for Finance, the Governor of the State Bank, and senior officials from the relevant min
istries.
