Finance Minister Aurangzeb chairs key meeting to review petroleum supply and price situation

ISLAMABAD: The Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb was held to review the price situation and supply of petroleum products across the country

The meeting focused on assessing the overall status of the energy sector, particularly in the context of the evolving regional situation.

During the meeting, authorities informed the committee that the availability of crude oil, existing import agreements, and transportation arrangements are being closely monitored to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply throughout the country.

Pakistan currently holds satisfactory reserves of petroleum products. The supply chain, officials said, is functioning effectively, allowing the distribution system to operate smoothly across different regions of the country.

They added that the situation is being reviewed on a daily basis to ensure timely response and effective management in case of any unexpected developments affecting the energy market.

The meeting also reviewed recent trends in international oil prices and their potential impact on domestic petroleum prices.

In this regard, the participants of the meeting confirmed the government’s commitment to taking all necessary measures to maintain stability in the petroleum sector despite the changing regional environment.
