Hamas appeals to Iran not to target neighboring countries

The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has called on Iran to refrain from targeting neighboring countries and to avoid actions that could further escalate tensions in the region.

Hamas issued a statement focusing on that Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself against aggression. The organization noted that under international law, Iran is entitled to respond to threats and acts of hostility in ways that ensure its security and sovereignty.

However, the statement also stressed the importance of exercising restraint in any response, particularly by avoiding steps that might directly affect other countries in the region.

Hamas urged the Iranian leadership to carefully consider the potential consequences of any military or strategic actions, mentioning the need to protect regional stability during an already sensitive period.

Hamas affirms that Iran has the full right to defend itself against aggression,” the statement said. “At the same time, it is important that any response remains within limits that prevent the widening of conflict or harm to neighboring states.”

The organization further appealed to Iran’s leadership to adopt a cautious approach, emphasizing that maintaining regional balance and preventing broader confrontation should remain key priorities.

In addition, Hamas called on all countries in the region to play a constructive role in reducing tensions and preventing further escalation.

The group encouraged regional governments to work collectively toward stopping aggression and promoting dialogue aimed at maintaining peace.

The statement mentioned that cooperation among neighboring nations is crucial at a time when political and military tensions remain high.

The appeal comes at a time of heightened concern over the possibility of broader regional conflict.
