Pakistan claims airstrikes targeted 41 locations across Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: The security forces claimed that large-scale military operations were conducted across multiple locations inside Afghanistan under what has been described as “Operation Ghazb lil Haq.”

The update, issued at 2100 hours on February 28, outlined what were described as significant losses suffered by Afghan Taliban forces. The figures released claim that 352 fighters were killed and more than 535 injured.

Additionally, the statement alleged that 130 check posts were destroyed and 26 others captured during the operation.

The same source claimed that 171 tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed, while 41 locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through air operations. These figures have not been independently confirmed, and no official evidence has been publicly presented to substantiate the claims.

The Pakistani forces have captured approximately 32 square kilometers of territory inside Afghan territory during the course of the operation.

The statement further alleged that several military installations were targeted, including locations said to be in Kabul and Kandahar.

Further updates are awaited as officials from both sides have yet to release comprehensive statements confirming or denying the reported developments.
