ISLAMABAD: Information circulating on social media regarding an alleged medical report of former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been described as misleading.
According to verified sources, Khan has previously faced vision-related issues. These concerns were mentioned in his public speeches, particularly regarding weak eyesight in his right eye.
Official statements and attending physicians said medical examinations and treatment were conducted due to a condition involving increased pressure in the eye’s arteries. The condition was said to be consistent with previously reported medical issues. Sources stated that the situation does not stem from any sudden or fabricated illness but reflects a continuation of an existing medical condition.
Relevant authorities urged the public to rely on authenticated medical documents and statements from doctors rather than unverified reports.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has called for province-wide protests after Friday prayers.
