KARACHI: Gold prices rose again today in both international and local markets, pushing the precious metal further out of reach for ordinary buyers.
In the international bullion market, gold gained $23 per ounce on Wednesday, bringing the new global price to $5,058 per ounce.
In local markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs2,300 to reach Rs528,562. The price per 10 grams rose by Rs1,972, reaching Rs453,156.
Silver prices also climbed. Per tola, silver gained Rs120 to trade at Rs8,735, while the 10-gram rate increased by Rs103 to Rs7,488.
The sustained rise in precious metal prices underscores global demand pressures and local market volatility, impacting investors and consumers alike.
