SIBI: Provincial Minister for Industry and Trade Sardar Kapoora Khan Domki has reiterated the Balochistan government’s firm commitment to meritocracy and equal opportunities for the youth across all sectors.
He made these remarks while addressing a ceremony for distributing appointment orders to newly recruited employees in the Sibi district’s education and health departments. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Major (R) Ilyas Kabzai, municipal officials, and senior district officers.
Minister Domki emphasized that all recent government appointments, including those celebrated at the ceremony, have been made strictly on merit. He revealed that upon joining the cabinet, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti had explicitly directed him to ensure merit at every level, stating that adherence to merit is the core policy and resolve of the provincial government.
Highlighting a broader vision beyond direct employment, Domki outlined various initiatives aimed at making youth self-reliant. These include providing business loans and entrepreneurship training to unlock economic potential.
He urged young people to come forward with viable business plans, assuring them of government financial assistance. The minister added that several skill development programs are also underway to equip the youth with marketable expertise, enabling them to secure respectable employment and contribute to national development.
The ceremony underscored the administration’s dual focus: ensuring transparent recruitment in the public sector while actively promoting entrepreneurship and skill development to foster sustainable economic growth and youth empowerment in the province.
Meanwhile the Balochistan government has launched a comprehensive province-wide mission for the rehabilitation of drug addicts, pledging to continue the effort until society is cleansed of the menace.
Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Haji Wali Mohammad Noorzai announced the campaign, stating it is being pursued on the direct and urgent instructions of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti. He commended the role played by private rehabilitation centers, NGOs, and police, assuring full government cooperation.
