QUETTA: Financial assistance provided under the Balochistan Police martyrs package has been increased.
Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, announced the increase in financial assistance.
The amount given to the families of martyrs has been raised from 1 lakh to 2 lakh rupees.
IG Police Balochistan stated that police personnel severely injured during duty will now receive 1 lakh rupees instead of 10 thousand rupees, while those with minor injuries will receive 25 thousand rupees instead of 5 thousand rupees.
Muhammad Tahir said that financial assistance for the burial of martyrs has been increased from 40 thousand to 75 thousand rupees.
For transporting the body outside the province, the amount will now be 1 lakh rupees instead of 50 thousand rupees.
Financial assistance for the marriage of police employees has been increased from 12,500 rupees to 50,000 rupees.
The aid amount for the marriage of daughters of martyrs and deceased personnel has been raised from 50 thousand to 2 lakh rupees.
The IG Police said that monthly financial assistance for widows of deceased employees in grades 1 to 11 has been set at 12 thousand rupees, and for grades 12 to 15 at 14 thousand rupees.
He further said that for grades 16 to 17, widows of deceased employees will receive 16 thousand rupees monthly, and for grade 18, 20 thousand rupees.
Muhammad Tahir stated that martyrs, retired employees, and their children have a rightful claim on us.
The sacrifices made by the martyrs are a guiding torch for us; the martyrs are the pride of our forehead.
