According to the details, a firing incident had taken place in the police line when the policemen and the communication shot at each other.

However, he succumbed to injuries and passed away. The police handed over the body after the necessary proceedings.
Incidents of policemen firing at fellow policemen in Pakistan, though not very frequent, have occurred at different times and usually stem from personal disputes, stress, disciplinary issues, or mental health problems.
In several reported cases, clashes happened during duty hours at police checkpoints, stations, or training centers, where arguments escalated into gunfire.
Some incidents were linked to workplace pressure, long duty hours, lack of counseling, or misuse of service weapons, highlighting internal weaknesses within the force.
Such cases often raise serious concerns about command control, psychological screening, and weapon handling protocols in Pakistan’s police departments.
After these incidents, authorities usually order inquiries, suspend involved officers, and promise reforms such as stress management training and stricter supervision.
However, recurring cases indicate a need for systematic reforms, including better conflict resolution mechanisms, regular mental health evaluations, and improved discipline to prevent armed confrontations within the law enforcement agencies themselves.
