QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting of the Provincial Harden the State Committee to review security and the implementation of targets set by the national and provincial action committees.
Additional Chief Secretary Home, Hamza Shafqaat, briefed the meeting on the overall law-and-order situation.
Officials said operations against Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij networks are underway.
Police carried out 200 operations against criminal groups in Kachhi district, while similar actions continued in other districts.
Security officials said 100 militants were “neutralised” in northern Balochistan.
The briefing noted that authorities sealed 3,561 illegal petrol pumps across the province.
Customs officials conducted 2,575 operations and seized 416 non-custom-paid vehicles in the past three months.
Officials also said the registration of madrassas and enforcement of newly approved regulations is progressing.
The chief minister expressed satisfaction over ongoing security and anti-smuggling actions. He directed departments to further accelerate operations.
Bugti said the government will fully implement the decisions and targets set by the national and provincial action committees.
He vowed that action against lawbreakers will continue without discrimination. He reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy toward crime, lawlessness, and disorder.
Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Hamza Shafqaat, and senior security officials attended the meeting.
