India outdone by Pakistan in the debate in Oxford University

LONDON: A debate between Pakistani and Indian students at the Oxford University concluded with a decisive victory for the Pakistani team, which secured a two-thirds majority of the votes.

The debate focused on the topic of whether India’s policy toward Pakistan genuinely serves national security interests or is merely a political slogan used to stir public sentiment.

The Pakistani side was led by the current President of the Students’ Union, Musa Haraj.

During the session, the Indian participants were unable to provide convincing responses to several critical questions raised by the Pakistani team.

As a result, the final vote count showed 106 votes in favor of the Pakistani students, while the Indian team received only 50, confirming a clear and emphatic win for Pakistan.

It is worth mentioning that this is the second successive day when India has to face the humiliation of the defeat while debating on facts with Pakistan.

Yesterday, the Indian delegation failed to face Pakistan in a debate at the Oxford Union, and the Indian leaders, who often create noise on TV channels, withdrew at the crucial moment.

As a result, Pakistan secured a clear and uncontested victory.

According to reports, the Pakistani delegation, consisting of Retired General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, Hina Rabbani Khar, and Dr. Muhammad Faisal, was present in London.

In contrast, the Indian delegation did not have the courage to participate.

The debate was intended to challenge India’s policy towards Pakistan, but the withdrawal exposed the Indian narrative on the neutral Oxford forum.

The Pakistan High Commission in London stated that while Indian leaders are vocal on television channels, they avoid defending their stance in intellectual debates.

Despite a majority of Indian students being present, the Indian team refused to face votes and questions.

India’s so-called “security policy” could not withstand possible logical scrutiny, and the Indian speakers sabotaged the debate beforehand to avoid potential embarrassment.

The High Commission added that Indian analysts, who often propagate anti-Pakistan narratives in the media, disappeared when confronted with an open discussion.
